About the Fund
The Beverly Shaffer Gast Memorial Fund is a donor advised fund honoring the memory and legacy of Beverly by continuing her life of generous contributions to the care and support of so many people and organizations. It is the intent of the Fund to remind family, friends, and community members of the lasting impact of Beverly’s life, to support the causes that she supported, and as an encouragement to all to find opportunities of service in any sphere of our personal influence and at any stage of life.

Contributions are tax-deductible and the fund is managed by an advisory board consisting of Beverly's three children. Grants are selected by the advisory board based on the causes that were most important to Beverly.
Areas of Service
Education
Support of the education of youth from pre-school to college – supporting financially disadvantaged young people to engage in substantial educational opportunities through scholarships, tutoring, and mentoring.
Christian Faith
Support of Christian faith-based organizations to include churches and youth based community groups.
Local Community
Support of local community outdoor recreational activities such a hiking trails, playgrounds and sponsored programs.
Imprisoned women and their families
Support of imprisoned women and their families – this would include support of individual mothers and their families in the areas of transportation, child care, family and community connections as well contributions to established non-profits that provide similar services.
